Last updated: April 6, 2026

Welcome to Become A Yogi. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of becomeayogi.co, our trainings, retreats, masterclasses, community spaces, and any related services we offer (collectively, the "Services"). Please read these Terms carefully — by using our Services, you agree to be bound by them.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

2. Who We Are

Become A Yogi is a yoga education company founded by Jonah Kest, offering Yoga Alliance certified teacher trainings, immersive retreats, masterclasses, and a global community of practitioners rooted in the Kest lineage of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services or to register for any of our trainings, retreats, or masterclasses. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Some of our programs have additional prerequisites — for example, our 300-hour teacher training requires a current 200-hour Yoga Alliance certificate. Program-specific prerequisites are listed on each program's page and must be met for enrollment.

4. Description of Services

Become A Yogi offers:

  • 300-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings — Yoga Alliance certified programs combining 200 in-person hours with 100 hours of online study.
  • Immersive Retreats — multi-day yoga and meditation retreats in international destinations.
  • Masterclasses — single-session yoga classes led by Jonah Kest at select studios.
  • Community Access — participation in our Skool community for practitioners and alumni.
  • Newsletter and Educational Content — emails, journal articles, and other content shared via our website and email.

Booking and payment for trainings and retreats is processed through WeTravel. Booking and payment for masterclasses is processed through SweatPals. Your relationship with these third-party platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Booking, Payment, and Cancellation

All bookings, payments, deposits, refunds, and cancellations are governed by our separate Refund and Cancellation Policy and the terms of the booking platform you use. By registering for any of our programs, you agree to be bound by both this document and the applicable booking-platform terms.

6. Health, Safety, and Assumption of Risk

Yoga involves physical movement and can carry inherent risks of injury. By participating in any of our trainings, retreats, masterclasses, or other in-person services, you acknowledge that:

  • You are responsible for evaluating your own physical condition and capabilities.
  • You are responsible for disclosing any relevant health conditions, injuries, pregnancy, or medications to your instructor before practice.
  • You are responsible for practicing within your own limits and modifying or skipping postures as needed.
  • You assume the risks inherent in physical practice and international travel.

A separate Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk waiver applies to all in-person programs and must be signed before participation. International retreats also involve travel-related risks for which we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content

Graduates may teach the methods they have learned in their own classes — that is the purpose of the training — but they may not reproduce or distribute our written materials, manuals, or proprietary frameworks as their own work or sell them as standalone products without our permission.

7.3 User Content

You retain ownership of your content. You represent that you have the right to grant this license.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Become A Yogi, Jonah Kest, our affiliates, employees, contractors, and assistant teachers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of another; or (d) your conduct during any in-person program.

13. Third-Party Services

Our Services include integrations with and links to third-party services such as WeTravel, SweatPals, Flodesk, Skool, Mapbox, Bunny.net, Webflow, and various social media platforms. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or terms of these third parties. Your use of any third-party service is at your own risk and is governed by that third party's terms and privacy policy.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we believe your conduct may harm us, other users, or third parties. Each party shall bear its own costs and attorneys' fees, except as otherwise required by law.

You agree that any claim you may have arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services must be filed within one (1) year after such claim arose; otherwise, the claim is permanently barred.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on our website before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Cookie Policy, Release of Liability, and Photo and Media Release, constitute the entire agreement between you and Become A Yogi regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
