Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 6, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Become A Yogi uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on becomeayogi.co. It complements and forms part of our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site owners. Other technologies that perform similar functions include local storage, session storage, web beacons, and pixels — throughout this policy, when we say "cookies," we mean all of these.

2. What We Currently Use

At the time of this policy's effective date, our website does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, marketing analytics, or behavioral profiling. We are intentionally minimal here — we only use technologies that are strictly necessary to make the website function.

The technologies currently in use on becomeayogi.co are:

2.1 Strictly Necessary (No Consent Required)

  • Webflow session functionality — our hosting platform may set strictly necessary technical identifiers required for the site to function properly.
  • Mapbox local storage — our interactive globe (powered by Mapbox) stores anonymous usage identifiers in your browser's local storage to enable map features. This is technical functionality, not advertising or tracking.

Strictly necessary technologies do not require your consent because they are essential to providing the service you have requested.

3. What We Do Not Currently Use

To be transparent, we do not currently use any of the following on our website:

  • Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook tracking)
  • TikTok Pixel
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag
  • Hotjar, FullStory, or other session recording tools
  • Advertising cookies of any kind
  • Cross-site behavioral profiling

4. What We May Use in the Future

As Become A Yogi grows, we may add the following technologies. If we do, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required by law (including for visitors in the EU, UK, and other regions with similar requirements), we will obtain your consent through a cookie banner before any non-essential cookies are set:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — to understand how visitors find and use our site so we can improve it.
  • Meta Pixel — to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and reach people who may be interested in our trainings and retreats.
  • Conversion tracking — to understand which pages and content lead to sign-ups and bookings.

When these are added, this policy will be updated to describe each one in detail, including its purpose, the data it collects, and how to opt out.

5. Third-Party Embedded Content

Some pages of our website include content delivered by third parties. These third parties may set their own cookies or similar technologies that we do not control. They include:

  • Bunny.net — video streaming for our brand films and retreat videos.
  • Mapbox — the interactive globe on our events page.
  • jsdelivr, unpkg, Slater.app — content delivery networks for the libraries that power site interactions.

When you click links to external services such as WeTravel (booking), SweatPals (booking), Skool (community), or our social media profiles, those services operate under their own cookie and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

6. How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • See what cookies are stored on your device.
  • Delete cookies, individually or all at once.
  • Block all cookies from being set.
  • Block cookies from specific websites.
  • Receive a notification when a website attempts to set a cookie.

To clear local storage (including the Mapbox identifiers), you can use your browser's developer tools or clear browsing data through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies and storage may cause certain parts of our site to function improperly.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal that informs websites of your preference not to be tracked. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them. However, since we do not use any tracking cookies at this time, the practical impact is the same: your activity is not being tracked across sites.

8. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, particularly when we add new features that involve cookies or similar technologies. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant — such as adding analytics or advertising cookies — we will provide additional notice and obtain your consent where required.

9. Contact

If you have questions about this Cookie Policy, please contact us at info@becomeayogi.com.

Disclaimer for legal review: This Cookie Policy reflects the actual technical state of becomeayogi.co at the time of drafting, based on a comprehensive scan of the live site. Before publishing publicly, this document should be reviewed by a licensed attorney, particularly with respect to ePrivacy Directive compliance for EU visitors and any state-level requirements (e.g., California Consumer Privacy Act).
